Sandymouth Bay is a magnificent Cornish sandy beach bordered by pebbles and protected by colossal cliffs, providing the perfect place to getaway from the crowds.
At low tide the beach becomes a long open expanse of golden sand that stretches as far as the eye can see. There are stunning walks in either direction out of Sandymouth.
Heading north, the path takes you towards Duckpool and the Earth satellite station near Stanbury Mouth. The southern path takes you along the rugged cliff top towards Northcott Mouth and offers breathtaking views of the headland and coastline.
Sandymouth Bay is a National Trust beach and is popular with surfers as it is exposed to all the Atlantic swell directions. A car park and a National Trust cafe are the only facilities near the beach.
